2022 Walmart Spring Cake Decorating Contest—New Dates Announced!
If you are one of Walmart’s 7,000 cake decorators, we have something special to brighten your spring.
Grab a kit and close the Cake Book! It’s time to tap into your inner cake artist and let your creativity go wild! You’re invited to take part in the 2022 Walmart Spring Cake Decorating Contest between Tuesday, March 15 and Tuesday, March 22.
Ready to Enter?
Here’s how to join the contest:
- Design a two-tiered cake with the theme, “Spring Has Arrived.” Let your imagination flow! Think outside the Walmart Cake Book and create something new.
- Decorate one two-tier Styrofoam cake with your idea. Decorations (icing, sprinkles, edible images, etc.) must come from Walmart, and icing colors should come from your bakery. You have a two-hour limit to design your cake, and it must occur on the clock.
- Work with your manager to share photos or videos of your cake on your store’s Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account between March 15 and March 22. (Make sure your manager includes the hashtag #springcakecontest on the post so we can compile results!)
Voting
This year, we’re letting associates and customers see your talent and decide on their favorite! Votes in the form of “likes” on your store’s social channel will determine winners.
We’ll tally the top five designs and post them to Walmart’s national Facebook page on Tuesday, March 29. Winners will be announced Friday, April 15.
Prizes
If you win first prize, you will receive $500 added to payroll and your cake design will be featured online as an option for customers to order! The second-place winner will receive $250 to payroll and the third-place winner will receive $150 to payroll.
